Hi everyone! I just realized I haven't been on for a month! What a terrible blogger I am ;/ I'v been busy with school, friends and I went on vacation last week to Panama City Beach. I had alot of fun, met some new guy friends, got tan, ect. But its about time I made a new entry!

This latest outfit is something that was inspired from one of my Polyvore sets. I remember adding a bright floral with an unexpected pattern-like leopard. I dont remember that exact set I created it on, but I thought it was a great idea. I paired it with a fringe scarf I got at target about 4 years ago(yah, I was in 6th grade at the time, what was I to do with a fashionable scarf? Considering I was a not-so-fashion-savvy gal. lol) Hey, like they say, You can wear something thats a couple years old, and make it look fashionable. THey do say that, dont they? haha.
And btw, doesn't the print on the dress remind you of an Andy Warhol painting? or is it just me?

Ciao ladies!

Fairy Headband

Hi.

I was just expiramenting with accesories and I decided to make a headband. Or, a "half headband" I should say. haha. I cut apart of a fake flower off its stem, and I clipped it to my hair. Pretty simple.

Cheers!

Hellloooo. Im poppin' out posts like crazy! haha.

A few days ago, I was experimenting with a scarf I got from Forever 21.

I wrapped the scarf around me and added a brooch so it would hold everything in place. Added a belt, and waalaah its a dress. Here's the conclusion.

CIAO!

p.s. sorry about the crappy-ness of the pictures. Im usually stuck with taking the pics from a mirror(I blame my little brother for not taking them for me. haha).

A Woodland Wonderland

Hey!

Yesterday, there was a huge storm(the effects of Ike). It was just a bunch of strong winds. Our lights went out, so I had nothing better to do(and this was after I went shopping). Sooo>>>I went out into the woods and took some random photos.

Good news for me!: School was out today and will be out tomorrow too! because the debree on the roads and 60 percent of louisville is out of power. Wooh, im the 40 percent with it.

West German Trench

Hi Ladies(in a British-like voice just for entertainment)

Today, as you read on my blog post below, I went thrifting at Nearly New. It was FANTASTIC! They had sections of different types of apparel(oh do I wish I brought my camera to take snaps of it!) For example: Vintage section, Fur section, Accessory section, Jacket section, and you get the idea....

My favorite section of the entire place, and in fact, my favorite in the entire array of thrift shops around my town, was the VINTAGE section. Oh boy, was I in shopping heaven! There where grandma night slips from the 40's, genuine leather purses from the 70's(which, I did not get a leather one because of the high-price the store was asking for-15 bucks bleegh), coats/blazers from the 20's and up, velvet tops(some were tacky 80's, some weren't), and everything else vintage you can imagine! There was a black vest with gold studs and gold lining that I thought looked VERY Kate Moss for Top Shop. But it was ....HUGE....so I didn't get it(hmmm, maybe I regret doing that?). Everything was a tad bit over priced in the Vintage section, but I really didn't give a hoot. I guess that's what you get when you get flippin fantastic vintage, not that crappy stuff from the late 80's early 90's. Yah know, shoulder pads and such. Well, that's what I usually find at random thrift shops/junk stores.

Okeydokey then. Here's a list of what I bought today. Its not allot, but the things I got were pretty impressive for a rinkety dink junk store:

~An OLD trench coat from West Germany(looks like something Anne Frank would trot around in). It says "Official Olympic Coat" or something like that on the tag, and my grandma said the coat was probably worn during the Olympics. Wooh!
~A black velvet vest
~A fringed scarf(looks like an urban outfitters scarf, but cheaper)
~A brown fringed Indian-inspired purse with flower details(i was about to die when I found it!)
~An old night slip that's sheer-I'll end up DIYing it into something amazing.

Unfortunately, I didn't buy any fuax fur...the fur section just had real fur, and there's a slim chance I would EVER buy that....So I passed it up...knowing I was passing up one of this Fall's trend. Why do old ladies have to have real fur????!

I'll post pictures of them soon!

(once agian, in a British voice for your entertainment)
Cheerio! Pep pep! Cheers!

I'm off to do a little thrifting!

HEEY,
I'm going thrifting today at this one thrift shop ran by old Jewish ladies! I'm excited because today is their annual sale(they save all the good stuff for that sale) I usually find stuff every time i go. There jewelry is suppose to be amazing.

On my list:
fuax fur jacket for this fall/winter
a pair of vintage shoes
something fringe
a vintage purse(my guess purse isn't cuttin it in the vintage factor lol)
jewelry
tops(and if they are not quite cute, i can DIY them to make them better)......

Unfortunately, i can NEVER find pants at thrift shops because they always sell sized 2 and up. I am a 0. which sucks.

Now I'm off to thrift!

Ciao

Thrifting is a Treasure Hunt

Hi hI agian!
Yesterday I went thrifting to a gillion and one thrift shops/estate sales! It was awesome. I was on a roll, if I must say so myself :) For the first stop, we stopped at a giant, old house in the Highlands. A HUGE estate sale. Although everything was extreamly overpriced. I mannaged to buy(well, i didnt buy it, my mom did...what can i say? Im a jobless 14 year old haha) this incredible floral fabric for 3 dollars. I might make a skirt out of it...What do you think? (the pic is posted above). I also got a great vintage scarf that smelled like old lady when I got it, I deffinatly washed THAT right away! bleegh. Next stop was Hand in Hand Second hand store(man, thats alot of hands). I had an incredible find of a old denim vest(which is banana republic, when it first opened-1980's or so) 3 bucks yay yay! Then at this old thrift shop ran by old Jewish ladies, I got a very bright Xlarge blouse. I knew I could do something with it(add a belt to give it an empire waist, tuck it under pants, ect). I got some brooch's, and a dress that I will DIY in the future into a mini dress(the pattern is YUM), all at Unique Thrift Shop. Yup, that's my weekend for yah! I was just super excited about my finds! :) Do you like them? What can I do to give the peices "uummph"?

Ciao Cheers GoodBye

Cut-Off creation

Hello,
On Friday I tured my old jeans into some shorts. They are not as I expected-i would of liked them to look like they have better quality. But I guess spending 10 minutes all together making them showed, haha. I also got a new tee shirt from Forever 21. Its my absolute favorite right now! It has numerous old vintage casette players on it. :) Just the shirt for me. I also put a measuring tape around my waist for a belt. I am thinking about making an accual measuring tape belt i saw from a blogger a while ago(i dont recall the blogger's name though) Here is a few pictures I took out of boredom.

Stupid Hard drive!

Hello everyone! I started high school today...it was pretty interesting. I wore a-less-than-unique-outfit which included faded out skinny jeans, black converse, a vintage tee, and a feather necklace(which, by the way, snapped in half during Algebra 1, i had to put it away. And I STILL cant fix it!!!! Agh Forever 21 can have very cheap quality!). I was appalled to see most people wearing trashy boot cut jeans from Kohl's and Hollister tee's (gag me with a spork before i gag myself, please? haha). That seriously is my PET-PEEVE!!!! I mean, PEOPLE, GET A PERSONAL STYLE! READ A VOGUE FOR GOD SAKES!!! Ok, now that im done rambling about my irking towards mainstream prep stores....How do yo feel about people wearing clothes from Hollister/abercrombie/ae/aero? Yah, they have good jeans, but really, why label yourself with a shirt that says ABERCROMBIE written all over it? We aren't Cambell's Soup for crying out loud hahahaha.
For my electives, I got Visual Art(which seems so cool, and so does the art teacher). Our first assignment is to create a bug model out of scraps around the house, the catch is to fit the bug/insect into a baby food jar. Blagh, easy assignment. :p And by the way, I wont be able to post any pics of my outfits cuz the harddrive is messed up, so It wont be for a week or two :(

see yah!

Family Guy

Well, the family and I were watching Family Guy on Fox one day, and I realized that Stewie is the bomb! haha, really! So much so, that I have decided to impersonate him(talk and act like him) Its so funny because i sound just like him! My brother does a great Brian talk haha. Its funny in our pea sized brains :)"Shut up, Brian!"
And i've decided to wear skinny jeans, a pendent necklace and a graphic tee for the first day of school tommorow....

cheers!

First Blog Post! woot woot!

Yay, my first blog post *golf claps*! Today I got all dressed up and did a "photo shoot" in the backyard. My little brother was the photographer(so there was many pictures with my foot cut off, or my face blurred :] ). Hmm...Since I'm bored and have nothing else to do, I'm going to write a little about myself. For starters, I love fashion(but I guess you know that, because this is a fashion blog). Thrifting is like treasure hunting-i love it. You search though allot of crap to find this amazing piece of clothing that no one else has! Plus its DIRT CHEAP, how can you pass that up? That's right, you can't :) I enjoy art, drama, photography(I was the mastermind behind the barbie doll picture on the top of the blog :P), laughing and fashion magazines. In fact, I would highly enjoy to work in a fashion magazine when I'm older and get out of college(Vogue, Teen Vogue, Elle, Harper's Bazaar, etc.). Ugh, I start high school tomorrow :( I'm not ready to go back to school! Blaaghh! And I really have NO CLUE what to wear for the first day.

Bye for now!
